The eternal quest for the spear that wounded Jesus on the cross and the Holy Grail, Holy Cup used at the last supper, and all these Christian relics represent, are the starting point for “Parsifal”, Opera considered the masterpiece of German composer Richard Wagner, winning contemporary Assembly divided into three acts, two ranges and total duration of five hours in the 17th edition of the Amazon Opera Festival (FAO), an event promoted by the Government of Amazonas, through the State Secretariat of culture, with master sponsorship of Bradesco. This Sunday, 19, is home to the second part of the work at 5:0 pm. The last performance happens day 22.
It tells the story of the young and “pure fool-” Parsifal (pictured), that there are innocent, free of faults and stripped of any evil needs to mature and know all facets of humanity before saving the King Amfortas of investees of Klingsor and Kundry and become the King of the Holy Grail.
Wagner took 25 years to complete the work which premiered July 1882 and conducted by the composer himself who led the crowd to frenzy. It was his last Opera and he died a few months after the glorious debut. Ticket sales at the box office.
